Question:

Exercise/diet plan for 13 year old?

Heres the thing...

im 13 years old and quite big (not that fat but not skinny) but i would like muscle.

1st problem-summers over and im at school

2nd problem-i have no idea what to do (what to eat or the exercise)

3rd problem-my family struggles for money really bad soo the £100 a day shakes wont be considered with the diet

sooo...

any advice whatsoever??

  1. HAHAHA! same situation here, 13 yrs, summers over so I'm kinda doomed...

    SCHOOL DAYS:-

    Breakfast - Try to go for the all natural and no sugar ones, like weetabix, muesli, shredded wheat, and there are sooo many different muesli's that I jus LUV!

    Walk to school:-

    Walk to school if you live close enough, or, if you live far away, and say you're taking the bus (its free 4 u!) then try getting off a few bus stops earlier than usual.

    Break:-

    At break (and lunch and more if you have any), instead of hanging around and ... well, to be honest... b**c*ing about your enemies (c'mon, admit it, we've all been there, I know I have - and no matter how much boys deny it, its true for ALL!) try playing some football of something, and if you're not so much of a tom boy, then make sure as you talk, you walk, up stairs, through halls, NO SNEAKING INTO THE WHEELCHAIR LIFT (lol) !!! oh and by the way, avoid having those unhealthy snacks that some schools offer at break such as heavily buttered croissants

    Lunch:-

    FOR lunch, try to save you're cash and instead of the pizza or meal of the day or chocolate milkshake or dessert, try going for vegetarian meal of the day (if your school has that sort of thing, the reason I say this is because schools tend to give a tonne of fat on the meat hidden away, not always easy or possible to peel off... Puarghhh!) and try salads, fruit and so on. Remember, I'm just giving sugestions, you can vary as longs as you KNOW it's healthy!

    After school:-

    Now, I've DEFINATLY been here, coming back from school, goin past EVERY kinda fat there is! Subway, Burger King, McDonalds, Greggs, and all those little newsagents who have built their shops right there to get "pleasantly plump" little school children to SCOFF THIER FAT GOBS!!! (LOLLL) !!!!! - Long story short, resist temptation. Also, walk home, if you need to take the bus, you can, but jus think, you have all the time in the world to get home, why not walk half a mile, at an even pace with your MP3 you sneaked in this morning? - Also, another thing, after school clubs help, tennis, badminton, rounders, basketball, football, trampolining.... whatever you have at your school.

    At home:-

    CHORES! I know it sounds dredful, but when you do those irritant little erands, not only do you all of a sudden get REALLY nice parents, but you even lose lots and lots of weight! It's all about moving around when you're at home, oh - try to cut out video games, I know it's hard, but you gotta try! Go out for an hour jog round the park with a mate, chat, brink lots of water... make sure the park has a toilet.. just in case! - Oh, and if not an hour, choose a appropriate distance, like 0.75 km, and try to increase it every so often! Go out with friends often, to really get yourself active, the main reason is that it's fun! have fun and lose a little weight! Go to places like tennis club and such...

    Dinner:-

    You can really have anything for dinner, jus as long as you:

    1. Try to avoid second or thirds unless you really are hungry... not jus luvin the taste!

    2. have plently of  vegetables, vegetables increase your metabolic state, in english, thats make you lose it faster!

    3. drink plently of water - help hydrate your body and maintain your will believe it or not, mostly because it helps your brain and stops you from getting drousey or tired or anything so that you feel "too tired to argue".

    Bed:-

    Go to bed at the right time, too early means less time loosing it (you loose more weight from sitting up watching TV then you do from sleep). And too late means a tired body and a slow metabolism (meabolic yadah yadah ya!)

    WEEKENDS:-

    Basically, the same for breakfast on school days, the same for dinner on school days (have the same for lunch!), the same for at on school days and the same for bed on school days.

    BUT REMEMBER!!

    Don't let yourself go insane, you'll lose it fast if you stick to this, but only say 4 or 5 days slower a minth if you do the below - plus you'll be much more satisfyed!

    Every week, get a nice tasty takeaway if possible - or have a packet of crissp every other day, something nice?

    Drink JUICE - I know it's wierd but it really helps of you have a craving for flavour, instead of the greasy bacon, have a nice cup of "OJ" (american term for orange juice).

    Oh, And as for toning:-

    YOGA is good for you mentally and physically, it relieves stress from your soon to be SATs and helps to tone any lumps or bumps making you a LOT prettier :D

    Situps like you asked for, try 50-75 every other day (or every one, your choice) for a week or how ever long it takes for it to become easy for you, then increase to match your abilities.

    I know you want me to give you more exercises but this will make you lose weight dramatically, and remember, know when to stop! don't become too skinny, dont become obbsessed - pretty pleease?

    0h and I advice you to go to bed at nine and wake at 8 or 9 or 10.
