Exercise is more important than diet?

If you exercise heaps during the day and have a large diet, but eat fairly healthy food, can you remain fit by doing this? I see that Phelps consumes 12,000 calories a day and trains hard during the say, so it must mean exercise can burn off whatever you eat?

  1. if you're trying to lose weight you should really give Acai Berry a shot! i saw it on oprah and i'm trying it myself right now.. got a 14-day FREE trial from this site!

  2. Yes. this is 100% fact.

  3. It is a balance equation.

Understanding energy balance is the key to losing weight successfully.

Calorie intake > Calorie use ==> Weight Gain

Calorie intake = Calorie use ==> No change in body weight

Calorie intake < Calorie use ==> Weight loss

Losing weight does not mean avoiding food. Instead, eat less food that is high in fat and added sugar. Eat a variety of plant-based food like whole grains, fruit and vegetables. These food provide bulk and promote the feeling of fullness.

Eat regular meals and avoid skipping meals as it may lead to overeating at subsequent meals.

    Move more - Exercise

Physical activity is an essential part of any effective weight loss programme. It helps burn calories and builds muscles.

  4. Yes, you can solely rely on doing exercise to burn off the calories but you got to do lots of it, to burn off the amount you put in.....

Atheletes are different; they're under careful & professional supervision to consume special diet/nutrition and train like crazy at the same time. This is because they need to train heaps and in order to sustain them in training, they need to eat heaps......

Well, because they train so much (which they can because they have

been trained to do like that), they also burn off as much....

For you and me, we can't train like that; we'll suffer from effects of too much exercise and won't even able to burn off fat efficiently because we strip off our precious muscle and won't be able to burn off fat.......

The tried and true method is to do both: exercise and healthy diet, to balance the calories burned vide exercise and diet.
