I had an uncomplicated pregnancy and childbirth. my baby was born vaginally, and I have no tearing or pain 'down there'. I am nursing my baby but want to know when I can start working out again? when can I start doing crunches, squats, stuff like that?

  1. Some doctors will tell you "6 weeks" as a standard response, but my midwife told me once I was done bleeding I could resume normal activity.  Just take it slow and work up, and if you start bleeding again, your body is telling you to slow down.

  2. whenever you feel ready. you dont have a big risk of ripping or tearing anything since you didnt have a c section, but still you should probably ask the dr that. from experiance i can tell you i had 2 sections and 1 vaginal, and like 4 days after the vaginal i felt like nothing had ever happened :) and i went about my business
