Exercises to run faster

I am in the football team of my college,and they made a list of the 15 guys who will receive first their equipment,and i am not in that list because im not fast enough with my legs,i mean,im one of the slowest of the team,so,what kind of excercises should i do to make myself faster? i tried bike but the veterans told me it only made me slower,i am tryin with a machine at the gym that simulates to be doing leg excercises,but i need something else that helps...any suggestions?

  2. ok so my brothers friend was an olympic runner and he was telling me this is an excersise he did while training

    start off running 4 min. for a warm up lap the u spring for 20 straight seconds rest 10 sprint 20 rest 10

    u need to do that 8 times then finish with a 4 min cool down run

    this should only take u about 12 min's but its really hard and it really works helped me with my 40 time

  3. Ok first whats your body frame like if your a heavy guy you need to cut weight fast. One of the easiest ways i found was by doing aerobics i know it sounds g*y but it helps with agility and tones your legs. next you need to do sprints and lots of them. you can also do suicides in the basketball gym. If you dont know what those are ask a basketball player he'll tell ya. you need to do some weight training on your legs squats calf raises. they also have a strap with a parachute on the back you strap it on and run it builds the legs creates resistence
