Question:

Exercising after a Miscarriage?

by  |  earlier

I miscarried for the second time on Monday (well started too) and part of the healing process for me is I want to get my body back into shape as my own tool. Can any of you give me advice on when I can start to exercise again? I have looked on-line and found nothing helpful. Please don't tell me to ask my doctor, because all she said was at vague "-when you feel ready". Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

  1. Depending on the situation, about 6 weeks for things like situps and such.  You can walk and do pilates now and you should be able to go running soon.  You should always get the okay from your doctor first, better safe then sorry!

  2. depending on how far along you were and your health, & considering you've miscarried twice and given birth twice, and i don't know how long ago those births were, i would honestly ask my doctor. they probably have encountered many more women in your situation than any of us have.

  3. You should try stating with some easy exercises, but stop at any sign of pain or exhausting.
