Exercising in glasses

Does anyone out there exercise in their glasses? I am currently having problems with my contact lenses and am banned from using them until further notice (my doctor believes I have GPC, but I'm taking a round of antibiotics before he gives me his final diagnosis)...my question: how can I exercise in my glasses without them falling off, or fogging up? I usually like to jog, or take aerobics classes as well as lift some light weights. Suggestions?

  1. get a wide elastic band for when u exercise it can be quite effective and comfortable

  2. If you get glasses that fit you well you shouldn't have trouble with them falling off. Try wire frames instead of the plastic ones that are harder to adjust. As far as them fogging up goes, I know they make drops that you can apply to snorkeling goggles that prevent them from fogging up, so I imagine you could find some sort of spray that will do the same. Or you could get the drops from a SCUBA supply store if you can verify that they wouldn't damage your lenses  - I don't know if the material that your lenses are made of is more sensitive than what they make googles/snorkel masks out of.

  3. I have never had problems with lifting with my glasses, running is only as issue after I get sweaty.

You could always go with the horace grant look from the bulls, google it if you don't know what I meant.

  4. I wear eyeglasses to and do love to jog and exercising with them on, I am using them even on the beach while swimming in the sea. Not to have them fall while exercising you need to make sure the little parts guiding them on your nose are always dry and not greasy (wipe them often and also your nose), the legs should be adjusted right behind your neck, following the circle part as round as it can so you feel it well fitting you from nose to the back of your ear. (Press a little bit hard the end of the legs so it can follow the circle or your back ears, and in addition buy a kind of eyeglasses holder, it's is a kind of thing that you put at the end of the legs and that stay behing your neck when wear your eyeglasses in case you made a bad move the eyeglasses doesn't fall even if it has to get out of your face while exercising. The only thing you do after is to put it back to your face taking it from your chest....... I can't exercising without my eyeglasses so you understand me .......

  5. At most optical stores you can buy a sports strap that will hold them on, and anti-fog solutions to stop the fogging up.

For about 10 bucks, your problem is solved.
