Jo-Wilfried Tsonga enters his Australian Open 2010 semi-final against Roger Federer coming off two five-set wins in his previous two matches. His quarter-final against Novak Djokovic lasted three hours and 52 minutes – although to be fair, the final two sets weren’t the most tiring he’ll ever have played – while his fourth round win over Nicolas Almagro took three hours and 33 minutes. All of which begs the question: will the effort to reach the semi-final count against him in the match?
