My list of favorite boy names is SOOO long that I decided to split it into 6 parts. I would like you guys to comment on them INDIVIDUALLY: what comes to mind, how it sounds, how it looks, etc.

PART 1:

Adam

Adrian (ay-dree-in)

Aiden (wouldn't ever use it because it's too common, but it's cute)

Alban

Alfie

Anton (ann-tun)

Ansel

Aramis (air-uh-miss, not uh-rah-miss)

Arthur

Basil

Ben (not Benjamin, just Ben)

Brady (combo. Simon Brady, my surname)

Brendan

Thank you!!

  1. Adam: Cute as a first and middle name, I like that it's classic and old-fashioned without being ugly. Personally I think it sounds very masculine and is a great choice for a boy.

Adrian: Even though its unisex I love this name. It's cute and speaks well.

Aiden: Adorable name, I agree, its sad that it's so common now.

Alban: I don't like it, it sounds invented and reminds me of an old man.

Alfie: I don't like this one either, it makes me think of an older man once again, its a little too old-fashioned for my tastes.

Anton: Cute as a middle name. Tyler Anton? Maybe?

Ansel: Not my favorite, it's unique but I don't honestly like the way it sounds when I say it aloud.

Aramis: It sounds feminine and will be very hard for children and adults alike to pronounce.

Arthur: I think of King Arthur and of a 17th century gentlemen. Very old-fashioned, cute as a middle name.

Basil: I immediately think of the herb. I don't care for it as a name.

Ben: It seems incomplete as a first name. If you don't like Benjamin try, Bennett,

Simon Brady is cute, I think of a nerdy kid as a Simon though, but the name has a different ring to it that makes it stand out.

Brendan: I like this rather than Brandon, I like it alot actually. It's really cute and I imagine a well-rounded kiddo.

  2. The only one I like is Adrian.  The rest is just awful.

  3. Adam- Nice and classic I like it

Adrian (ay-dree-in)- Love it as well!

Aiden (wouldn't ever use it because it's too common, but it's cute)- Hate it, if you are not going to ever use it why did u include it in your baby list?

    Alban- Horrible

    Alfie- Horrible

    Anton (ann-tun)- LOVE it!

    Ansel- No way!

Aramis (air-uh-miss, not uh-rah-miss)- Like it

    Arthur- Like it

    Basil- Hate it

Ben (not Benjamin, just Ben)- OK, but like Benjamin a lot more

Brady (combo. Simon Brady, my surname)- Dislike it, Not masculine

    Brendan- Is decent

  4. My favourite out of all of the names you have listed is Alfie, it is gorgeous!

  5. I like:

Ben- always a good name to go with.

Alban- i like this name as a middle name, ex: Ethan Alban (something like that)

Aiden- always a fav, b/c its sooo cute!

  6. Adam: Its not a name I would choose because I prefer more unique names but I think its a really good name for a boy. Masculine and your son can grow with it. Makes me think of a cute little boy.

Adrian (ay-dree-in): Sorry just don't like it. Sounds harsh and is simply just an ugly name.

Aiden (wouldn't ever use it because it's too common, but it's cute): Like you say its too popular for my liking. I prefer Caden.

    Alban: No, just no.

Alfie: Trendy, short for Alfred. Yeah it works well. Masculine and a name a boy can grow with. Makes me think of the Eastenders character too (dunno if you live in the uk)

    Anton (ann-tun): No

    Ansel: no

    Aramis (air-uh-miss, not uh-rah-miss): no

    Arthur: old fashioned

Basil: old fashioned and a childrens tv entertainer

Ben (not Benjamin, just Ben): i knew a dog called ben. but i love benjamin

Brady (combo. Simon Brady, my surname): no makes me think of a serial killer ian brady

Brendan: again its not a name i would choose. But if you like it i think it sounds masculine and your son will be able to grow with it.

  7. Hope it wasn't you (the asker) who gave me a TD b/c I reread the question...

Adam : smart, introverted (really like this name 9/10

Adrian (ay-dree-in) : Adrian Monk 7.5/10 intelligent name

Aiden (wouldn't ever use it because it's too common, but it's cute) : smart, well-behaved (knew an Aiden, he was like this)

Alban : Albanian guy; knew a girl once named Albana (fem version of this)

Alfie: I picture a little kid (real young too) who is clumsy and has a big head

Anton (ann-tun) : A french boy, who is smart quiet and wears glasses 7/10

Ansel : my great-grandmother's brother; someone very old 7/10

Aramis (air-uh-miss, not uh-rah-miss) : reminds me too much of Artemis, the goddess; therefore, too feminine

Arthur - 6/10 not bad, not good; don't hate it, but don't like it either

Basil - Basil in Austin Powers; definitely makes me think of some British kid

Ben (not Benjamin, just Ben) : someone with round spectacles, intelligent-looking; for some reason I envision a kid that looks a lot like John Lennon 7/10

Brady (combo. Simon Brady, my surname) : someone (not acts, but is) country, friendly; not a bad thing but...4/10

    Brendan : a bit self-obsorbed 2/10
