Exiles team, probably the last hope for Gavin Henson to move to London
Famous Briton rugby player from Wales, Gavin Henson’s distress and frustration is not over yet as he is still busy in finding ways to settle down in London for his children. After breaking up with the entertainer Charlotte Church, Henson seems very concerned
about his children and their future.
It is to be remembered that Henson is looking for a move from Ospreys to London but no rugby team is ready to recruit this rugby ace because of his current reputation. It is reported that rugby clubs like Saracens, Wasps and Harlequins are least interested
in hiring Henson and have ruled his application out for recruitment.
On the other hand Exiles director has given Gavin Henson a hope. In a very recent interview the boss of Exiles Toby Booth expressed his views about issue of recruiting Henson and answered the media by saying that Exiles management is interested in hiring
every good player who is available.
Later while answering a question about the reputation of Henson, Toby expressed his views that a player is an asset for a club and if he is playing well for his team and for his club, the management has nothing to do with the reputation of the player. Toby
added that he is least careful about the reputation of a good player and all he cares about is the player’s game.
Currently, Toby Booth the director of Exiles is very concerned about the remuneration of Gavin Henson, which according to him is a very important factor. While talking about the issue of acquiring Henson, Booth told the media that a four million pounds wage
for Henson is the real issue and we will make sure to negotiate in further stages as it is not an easy thing to acquire a player. Booth added that four million pounds is not a small amount and he will make sure to sort out the problem very soon.
It is also to be noted that currently Exiles is the only hope for the twenty-eight year old rugby veteran player to move to London as Saracens and Bath have already outlined him from the recruitment issue. According to Bath’s manager, Ian McGeechan, the
Bath squad is set and performing well and therefore they are not in the need of hiring a new player. On the other hand the director of Saracens, Edward Griffiths explained the matter by saying that the Saracens squad is full and they are not willing to recruit
any new player.
Wasps has ruled out Henson from recruitment. It is to be remembered that Wasps has a very strong relation with Henson and it is also reported that Wasps had already offered Gavin Henson a two year deal but it seems that all the rumours are not right. In
a very recent interview the director of team Wasps, Tony Hanks explained his point by saying that they have not signed Henson for the season and they are not willing to do so. Later he said that the squad is full for the season and the Wasps are not expecting
him this season at all.
It is also to be remembered that Henson is on unpaid leave from the Ospreys rugby team and his break-up from the British singer Charlotte Church has earned him a reputation of a bad boy. These days Henson is very concerned and careful about his children
and their future. That is why he is trying to move to London and hunting out ways to start a new life as he wants to forget his past due to the mental stress.
International rugby players like Gavin Henson are hard to find as their abilities can’t be questioned but sometimes reputation plays a bigger part than the game. Henson is going through some serious stress these days and all of his hopes are now pinned on
the Exiles team.
