  1. Macaws:

    Severe:

One of the largest mini-macaws, it reaches the size of 45cm of which half is its tail. This is the only one of the mini macaws to have feathers on the bare patches on its facewhich makes it look like one of the larger ones. They live for 30 - 80 years. Mostly green but has patches of blue and red on its wings. It has a chestnut patch above its beak , hence its other name Chestnut-fronted Macaw.

    Hybrid:

A cross of two different types of macaw.

    Blue and Gold:

It can reach 76-86 cm long and weigh 900 to 1300 grams. It is vivid in appearance with blue wings and tail, black chin, golden underparts and a green forehead. Its beak is black and very strong for crushing different foods. The face is white, turning pink in excited birds, and lined with small black feathers.Blue-and-yellow Macaws are known to their owners as more of a "one person" bird, and bond very closely to their owners. They tend to be more aggressive during mating season, typically 6-8 weeks in the spring time. They do do destructive chewing which is their natural behavior and should be expected in captivity.

    Greenwinged:

This bird is often mistaken for the scarlet macaw as they are similar in appearance.

This is the commonest of the large macaws. The superficially similar Scarlet Macaw has no eye lines and a yellow bar on each wing. The wingspan of the greenwing macaw can be up to 49 inches (125 cm), with a total body length of 39 inches (100 cm). A healthy adult will weigh between 1,250 and 1,700 grams. The Green Winged Macaw has a very powerful beak which can generate a pressure of 2000 psi and can snap a broomstick in half.[1] This powerful beak is designed to crush or open even the hardest nuts and seeds.

    Scarlet:

It is about 81 to 96 cm (32 to 36 inches) long. The average weight is about a kilogram (2 to 2.5 pounds). The plumage is mostly scarlet, but the rump and tail-covert feathers are light blue, the greater upperwing coverts are yellow, the upper sides of the flight feathers of the wings are dark blue as are the ends of the tail feathers, and the undersides of the wing and tail flight feathers are dark red with metallic gold iridescence. There is bare white skin around the eye and from there to the bill. The upper mandible is mostly pale horn in color and the lower is black. Scarlet Macaws make loud, low-pitched, throaty squawks, squeaks and screams designed to carry many miles. The Macaws can live up to 75 years, but more typical is a lifespan of 30 to 50 years.

    Cockatoos:

    Umbrella:

It is a white parrot with brown or black eyes and a dark grey beak. If it is surprised, it extends a large and striking crest, which has a semicircular shape (similar to an umbrella, hence the name). The crest is normally recumbent. The underside of the wings and tail have pale yellow or lemon colour, which flash when they fly. The Umbrella Cockatoo can live up to, and perhaps beyond, 80 years in age. The Umbrella Cockatoo weighs about 400 grams for small females and up to 800 grams for big males. The male Umbrella cockatoo usually has a broader head and a bigger beak than the female.

    Mobrella:

A Mobrella is a cross between a Moluccan and an Umbrella. This is a hybrid which does make them rather rare.

    Sulphur-crested:

One of the larger and more widespread cockatoos.

These birds will weigh around 800 grams. The Sulphur-crested Cockatoo is similar in appearance to the three species of corella found in Australia. Corellas are smaller, however, and lack the prominent yellow crest.Their distinctive raucous call can be very loud; it is meant to travel through the forest environments in which they live. These birds are very long lived, and can live upwards from 70 years in captivity, although they only live to about 20-40 years in the wild

That is the ones you listed but there are MANY other types of cockatoos.

    Hope I helped...

    -Thanks Bridget.

  2. severe macaws are called mini macaws, they weigh smaller then the large ones, and are more akin to the size of a bigger conure, or other small parrots, only with the face patches and attitudes of macaws. blue and gold macaws are the most popular macaws in the country today for pets, and make great ones, i have one myself. they are blue and gold with black like zebra stripes upon each side of the face. scarlet macaws, are a bright red with yellow and blue on the wing tips and are known as the nippiest macaws, which may not be so true, but definately they have their opinions. umbrella, mobrella, and sulfer, along with other cockatoos are not the best recommended pet birds for someone younger, as they are the most social and needy of all the parrots and only are good for those who are retired, or able to spend plenty of time at home. personality will always differ among all parrots, although you could think of macaws are party boys, and cockatoos are little cuddle bugs. every bird should have fresh fruits, along with a good base diet such as zupreem of lafaebers nutriberries, supplimented with nuts, and bread, etc, and other things they would get naturally in the wild. it's also worth noting that most people say, that macaws need the most protein out of all birds because their bodies metabolize fat very fast. hope that helps.
