It is nobodies business to judge you weather you are getting a gator or not.   here is a huge tip.  There are very few states that will allow you to have a gator as a pet.  There are those that will allow you to have them for puposes of breeding, or if you are a zoo, or if you are involved with education in something.   Heres what you do,  go to yahoo, or google, and type in Caimans for sale.  If you do not already know it, a caiman is a small breed of gator.  they do not grow as big as their more common alligators or crocodiles.   Caimans are a little smaller, but they carry the same personality as their bigger relatives.  To learn more about the caiman, I suggest wikipedia.org
