what exactly is an expat job? can you refer website(s) that could explain different types of expat jobs (not the definition please). I'm thinking of getting a job where I can work for a company in the US that has a base in Japan, where I can get transferred to. What majors would i have to study to get this kind of job. What's a high paying expat job in Japan? Do you know of any businesses in the US that have bases in Japan and are looking for employees to travel and work there? eh...wow htis is a lot thx if u can help me

  2. First of all, businesses have offices not bases.

    A popular job you can get is teaching English or translating. For teaching English you can have any degree, and for translating you would need to become perfectly fluent in Japanese and English.

    There are plenty of US companies that have offices in Japan, just think of any major American corporation and they will have someone in Japan. So you can study basically anything and end up working there. But it would be best to study business and especially get a masters in international business.
