Expats or those soon to be, what website would you most like to see?

It's a well known fact that thousands if not a few million

South Africans have left the country. Thing is, no one knows exactly how many people are where.

Usually you know of a friend with a nephew who knows a colleague that knows for a fact that going here or there is a bad idea etc...

Yeah, there are a few sites out there dedicated to expats, but most are poorly administered or it feels like searching through a maze to find anything useful.

What type of site would you like to see in the near future, be it to help you answer a few questions about the process involved, seeing some blogs, pictures, the number of people who went where, personal stories, what places are good to visit, how do you cope with your finances OR just how to get through the day if you are stuck in Northern Canada and it turned out that to you are allergic to snow...

Because no matter where you are, one fact will always remain true:

"The good life only starts when you stop wanting a better one"

  1. A yahoo Q & A site for South African, that can be used for Q & A´s asked and answered by South Africans for South Africans, with South African advice, and South African opinions, and South African jokes and South African languages.

  2. I think we should all stay!  What will we do without each other?

    Look at our beautiful cities!

  3. I agree with Cakes, it should be for and about your land, language, heritage and things unique to your own people

  4. When I leave I would like to have a live stream web cam on the area where my family lives so I can see how everything is with my own eyes.

Blogs would be great, anonymous so the truth can come out (eg "letters from Cathy" http://www.cathybuckle.com/ )

From an interest point of veiw Id like regular photos of places that have changed considerably (eg, point road durban is now point waterfront and upmarket) how the beaches have changed due to weather conditions (ie South coast flooding & beachfront homes washed away) etc etc

Maybe Id want to know more about the crime, but Im not sure
