Experience 40 years VS Non experiences with diploma?

Question

If you have a chge to get some one?Who do you prefer,;man with experience 40 years ,or A graduate man with no experience but have a diploma 4 years.

please answer this Q. with no prejudice and clear thinking.

i'ld be going for

a graduate man though with no experience .....

cuz it's cheap n he has the Degree ...knowledge....

yet not experienced.........

Lots of factor is missing to determine your decision. For example, it is a junior level position or Senior? is it desk job, hand on  job??

etc etc.

An employer will often go for the degree/no experience option.  The reason for that is, the younger person with the degree will often be willing to work for less money.
