  1. evacuate baton rouge. OMG no! stay off the roads and keep them free for other people to leave below us. I've lived her all my life and never had to board up once! Not even for Andrew. Just make sure you have enough supplies, make sure you pick up and tie down anything outside that could become a missile to yours or someone elses house. Board up if your want. I wouldnt recommend staying in an apartment of definately a trailer. Check and make sure you area is not prone to flooding. Your lights will go out for a few days so be prepared to get very hot! But any where you go, you will ge a lot of rain! Just stay home and be safe. I dont think B.R. has ever been evacuated. People come here. You gonna be fine.. Just worry about the people who live dircttly on the water. And pray Grand Isle comes out peachy! I'd die if something happend to Grand Isle!

  2. You should evacuate.. now before traffic gets too huge later..

hurricane track looks like its going to hit anywhere in southern Louisiana..

    Good Luck.

  3. If you live in B.R. it might be better to sit tight. If people who don't need to move get out on the roads too, there will be gridlock and everyone will be stuck out in the open when the storm hits. Pay CONSTANT attention to updates and if you are where evacuation is recommended move quickly.

Use the time to get a survival kit (clothes, all important records, meds, etc) ready and have some alternate evac routes planned out.

    Stay dry!

  4. Yes! Get out of there like, RIGHT NOW! The longer you wait the worse!

  5. Governor Jindal stated that East Baton Rouge Parish was designated as one of the areas for shelters.  There has not been a mandatory (or voluntary) evacuation notice for said parish.

We have our windows ready and emergency kit prepared, however.  If you wish to stay or go, that's your choice, but i wish you the GREATEST of luck on the Contraflow.

TL;DR - If you feel comfortable getting out, get out NOW while you can.  If you feel comfortable staying where you are, stay where you are.  But you need to be smart about this.

  6. well im still in baton rouge..its almost a category 5 and the path is coming for southern louisianna ...baton rouge..new orleans..and lafayette...soo you might want to before its to late..but its not really going to hit us till like mon. or tue. but if you find something different please email me

  7. i'm in baton rouge and i want to leave!

i don't know how bad it's gonna be.

i think the smartest thing is to leave.

hope you do. hope i can.
