I played a game called chrono trigger once, and it had a character named Schala whom I always felt bad for.  In its sequel crono cross, you discover that the main bad guy from the previous title holds her prisoner.  While not a real world heroic act setting her free felt pretty d**n good.

It IS good to be a hero, even if it isn't real.

A real world heroic feat I HAVE done though, is exercise great restraint, and unbelievable patience, in my dealings with a long island brat.  Arguably, that makes me a hero, because my patience has had to be, well, "heroic."
