  1. This is called sleep paralysis and is well studied and documented.  It affects many people including myself.  It can be accompanied by visual and auditory hallucinations and fear of the unknown plays a big factor in your hallucinations as well as any information your brain is processing at the time.

  2. I do believe that sleep paralysis is a real thing but sometimes I think that it is accompanied by something else.

Often times it's a form of psychic attack but sometimes it is actually coming from a good place.

You would have to decide for yourself, depending on what kind of vibes you were getting (other than the fact that you were freaked out about it), to know whether it was bad or good.

To feel feathers brush your face and/or skin is an angelic sign and it is known to be a sign of the Angels cleansing you and your aura.

I've never heard of Angels causing sleep paralysis though but it doesn't mean that it didn't happen.

It could have been a mixture of two things. You could have been in the midst of spiritual attack and the Angels...most likely your Guardian Angel, came to your aid.

Psychically speaking, that's what I think happened.

  3. That used to happen to me all the time.  I'm pretty sure it was because I was so stressed out at the time.  It is what the first guy said, it's called sleep paralysis but it doesn't really mean you are sleeping.  Your brain somehow shuts off control to your body while you are sleeping, but sometimes this happens while you're still awake, or in a kind of semi-sleep state.  This is also frequently accompanied by hallucinations.  I've had similar hallucinations while in sleep paralysis, it really is a troubling experience.

The weirdest thing is, this ONLY happens when I sleep on my back, so I just don't sleep on my back anymore.  Can't explain that one though.

  4. Its interesting you should mention birds.

Once, I had just laid down on my bed and pulled the covers over me, and the bed on the left side of me felt like it slightly sank in. I heard a three tone noise going from high pitch to low pitch literally next to me where it felt like the bed slightly sank in. It felt like something was laying with me in my bed, which the feeling went away right before I pulled off the covers and looked over. I've never experienced anything like this.

The next day there was a flock of birds migrating, which all of them were making the exact same three tone noise from high pitch to low pitch.

Odd experience, but I've experienced far weirder.

    Hmm...birds...

    Edit:

    I've never experienced sleep paralysis.

  5. I agree with Lumi and bravozul. I have that problem all the time and it's scary but I read up on what was happening to me and it's sleep paralisis. I can't move any part of my body or my eyes and I can't yell or cry out for help. sometimes I hear a buzzing sound when it happens and sometimes I am still dreaming with my eyes wide open. When your body becomes paralyzed, your brain starts creating sounds and images. You are dreaming even when you are still awake. It's more comon than you think.

  6. the explination that most scientists agree on, i feel is abunch of c**p. most all of them have not experienced this! and does it even happen in this way when the camera is rolling? i dont think so.   heres what happened to me, whatever or whoever "they" are always try the same s*it.  first i realize that "i" have awoke my self out of the dream! a have created a trigger in my mind to do so when my subconscience is aware of the situation. but that only gets me to the point where i am to the paralized state where you are awake. then its like,my body is still held in place from head to toe, so i just tense up with every ounce of whatever strength or power that i have to force a little surprise back at them! i know something that is to be used as a counter! just know in your mind that whatever it is, and it does not matter what," that its more afraid of you than you are of it!" anyway, back to what happens, so i am wide awake and i will either start a countdown,3,2,1, or i will will be saying something like,"you son of bit*hes", aparently it releases pretty fast cause by the time that i pop up, they have already split the scene. any way, the amount of time that it takes to go from the subconscience dream to the point that they are gone has shrank from minutes of stuuggle to just a few seconds!  if ever ,i get the chance to see the little bas*ards, i can guarantee you one thing, i know how to kick a*s, and so do they know that i know. also, whoever doubts me, hey thats your problem! it works for me! one day everyone will know the truth. and guess what, i will not be living in fear. it is my belief that we all have so kind of untapped power within ourselfs. maybe that is the thing that i am, at least i my mind, useing to defend myself. meanwhile, in my usual dream states, wow , i am freaking superman there to! throwing punk a*s pushers around like taking out the trash. look i know alot of this is going to be misinterpited, so e-mail for clairification.  good luck snapping your fingers. hahaha

  7. It is quite common and is known as sleep paralysis.  It has to do with the way the brain is wired to shut down the connection from your brain while you dream so you don't flail about.
