I have a Craftsman Weed Eater. It accidentally got filled with gas and not the gas/oil mix. Now, the engine has seized and I can't even used the pull cord. I have refilled it with the gas mix, but what can I do to get it going again?

  1. The rings on the piston are probably heat seized onto your cylinder wall. Take the spark plug out, and lightly squirt some oil into the cylinder. Let it soak a few minutes and see if that helps it to turn a few cranks. If it doesn`t, you can stick a small diameter wood dowel (or some such) into the spark plug hole and LIGHTLY tap on the piston head(not hard enough to bust a hole into the head of the piston). If that doesn`t work, it`s into the shop, or into the trash.

  2. you might have burnt the engine out.it might be a gone for good.
