Experience with <span title="Prometrium/Progesterone...It">Prometrium/Progesterone.....</span> makes me feel awful...Also Clomid stories?

Question

So I haven't had a period in about 2 1/2 months and had negative pregnancy test. My doctor gave me Prometrium/Progesterone capsules to take to get things going again since my husband and I have been TTC. I feel like I am about to die! I have never cramped so bad in my life, I can't even sit up straight. What was your experience with taking this med?

Also...I don't ovulate regular. I have symptoms of PCOS. I am currently taking Metfromin 1500 mg a day and about to start Clomid. I have my dr. appt Thursday to get started on it. I can't wait!

I took progesterone to get my period started again as well, I also have PCOS and yes the progesterone made me feel horrible, and the first period I had after taking the progesterone was the worst of my life! Good Luck!

I can&#039;t help you with the Prometrium/Progesterone but I can give you some Clomid Stories.... I conceived my daughter after 18 mnths TTC on1st cycle clomid (days 2-6  50mg) and am 12 weeks pregnant from my 2nd cycle clomid this time around (same dose/days etc).  Had lunch with a friend yesterday who conceived after 18 mnths TTC (3rd cycle) and her sister conceived after 2 years TTC (1st cycle).  Another girlfriend got pregnant after 3 1/2 years (3rd cycle) and then fell pregnant naturally when her daughter was 4 months old!  All have PCOS.  Sorry to hear you are suffering... but GOOD LUCK with the Metfromin and Clomid x*x

I was going through the same thing... i wouldn&#039;t have a period for 2-3 months then af would just come out of the blue. I too have taken prometrium and it was the worst experience ever. The dh and I have also been ttc for over 2 years now. In July I went to the dr because the prometrium only worked for a little bit. She gave me serophene same as clomid, and since then I have been on time for everything. Good luck to you and the dh on ttc. *****lots of baby dust your way*****

I was going to start the prometrium before I found out I was pregnant a few years ago.  But I have been on Clomid several times.. I personally didn&#039;t have many issues with it. Some mild hot flashes, but that was it. I would just check out www.rxlist.com and put in clomid and it will give you all the info on it. Another personal favorite is the www.twoweekwait.com they have so much stuff there about everything... I really like that site. Check it out
