I went to disneyland last christmas and hated the crowds and how everyone was smushed up against eachother and everything. Im planning on going th second week of june this year, and i dont expect or want it to be empty, but would like to know how the crowds are compared to christmas time.

and well also have fastpasses, so id like to know if they have a tendency to sell out in 3 hours of park opening like xmas.

  1. It won't be as crowded as it would be at christmas time, but there will still be a significant amount of people there. the most crowded times are thanksgiving and christmas so you will avoid that red zone.

i doubt that it will sell out in 3 hours of opening, but to be safe you better get there early

  2. Late May through early September is the in-season, so there WILL be crowds. Christmas time is definitely a busy time to go. Earlier May would be a better time. The second week of June would be less people than Christmas, but still more than the off-season would have.

Fastpass distribution will be better, but check the lines and the times for the distribution to get it! An enormous plus is that, after fireworks at roughly 9:55, half the people in the park leave! It's wonderful... lines are shortened from an hour to about half, which is really only about 15-20 minutes.

  3. idk

  4. peak season begins memorial day weekend and ends labor day weekend (there are busy times before and after, but this is the general rule.) any time in the summer months it will be busier than say, in october or march, but june wouldn't be as packed as july or early august (or at holiday time.)

if you go tuesday, wednesday, and thursday you will surely hit less crowds vs. if you went on the weekend of the same week.

as for fastpass, it sorta depends on the ride. i've been in DL plenty of times when space mountain fast passes are still available 1 hr. before park closing. look at the board on main street about 1-2 hours after the park opens, it says the wait time for all the rides. in june, you probably want to get a splash mtn. fast pass as early as you can because it will have the longest line in the park for the entire day. the other rides should be managable as far as fast pass and line goes.

  5. The 2nd week in June is a little tricky since some schools will be out and some won't.  It could be a hit or miss on how crowded it is.  I would recommend going on a Tuesday or Wednesday if you can.  I have an annual pass but I avoid Disneyland during the peak seasons because I have no patience for the crowds.  I went one time the day before Christmas and it was a nightmare.  I don't think it will be that bad and I don't think it will sell-out as quickly either.
