what are the things that are part of the care plan? I guess they all the same due to the fact that the common problem is the spine.

You need to protect their pressure points since they all can be different because of the body malformation.  You need to turn them or reposition them at least every 2 hours.  Use pillows and cushions.  If they talk ask them if anything hurts.  Also check their skin daily to check for red marks that could be the beginning of skin breakdown.   3. propping patients up with pillows is good  and rotating them if they are bed ridden.
