Experienced Veterans Europe’s elite would love to sign

So far all the talk has been about the young talents that clubs would love to sign, but experienced veterans are just as important to any team. They help provide guidance and can teach from their experience. Here are some experienced players that any team would love to have playing for them.
Mark Schwarzer is currently thirty seven years old but it doesn’t look like he plans on stopping any time soon. Schwarzer has been the wall at the back for the Australian national team over the last five years. He even helped steer Fulham to their first ever European final last season. He is currently being strongly pursued by Arsenal, which only proves how good he is.
Forlan has been in breathtaking form for what seems like forever now. Most people have forgotten about his terrible record at Manchester United since he has now had so much success at club and international levels that no one cares. The thirty one year old took home the Golden ball from the World cup. Any team would more than love to have Forlan play for them, but it is highly doubtful that Athletico Madrid would be willing to part ways with their prized possession.
Steven Gerrard has had more than a few disappointing seasons with Liverpool over the last couple of season. Teams like Real Madrid have shown great signs of interest in the player. This only shows that even though he may be old he is still a quality act and can perform at the highest level. Whether or not he decides to leave Liverpool is up to him, but we can say for certain that there are a lot of teams that would love to sign the player.
Frank Lampard has been Chelsea’s talismanic midfielder for almost a decade. He has scored twenty goals in almost every season now and is the best the team has to offer. He is a constant threat in attack and an excellent distributer of the ball. Chelsea would most probably never let go of the player, but if some bizarre events take place and the player is made available, there would be a long cue of teams trying to recruit the player.
Klose has had another phenomenal World Cup. He is now the second highest goal scorer in the World Cup’s history. He hasn’t been as successful at club level with Bayern Munich, but this won’t stop numerous teams from knowing on the door trying to capture his signature. Many teams including West Ham have already started to bid for the player. He still has a lot to offer to the world of football, but it’s really up to him as to whether or not he wishes to continue his playing career.
David Trezeguet has repeatedly expressed his desire to stay with Juventus. The club however has said they are open to hear offers for the player. The thirty two year old still has a lot to give and teams like AC Milan and Valencia have expressed their desire to sign the player.
