I'm very new to paganism (like a week since I converted) and this might be a very stupid question because I’m new and all so go easy on me if it is, but I feel like my god and goddess don’t love me because I was recently thinking about them and then a minute later I stepped on scissors and had to get stitches, is this because they don’t like me or is it karma? And if it is'nt karma please give me tips so I could become closer to the gods, remember I’m very new to paganism.

  1. They choose you. You will resonate together. I heard their voice as one, male and female speaking at once. Saved my life a few times. I knew nothing about magic. My first circle I cast in my mind. They told me what to do and it worked. Perform rites in their honor. My favorite for the horned god is the Stang rite. That really stirs things up!

  2. I think you stepping on the scissors was their way of saying keep your head out of the clouds and don't worry about them so much, concentrate on what is IN FRONT of you.

If you want to make ANY pagan gods happy, live an honorable life, and keep your feet grounded on earth.  If you show them honor through your deeds and actions and words, they will be pleased with you.  Don't think about scurrying about trying to show them favor and win them over, because that's just begging.  And there is no honor in begging.

You've had a rough life?  Then grow from those experiences.  I must admit I had a rather hellish time in highschool (finding the collective phlegm of about a half dozen or so people on your locker is never enjoyable), Instead of going all woe is me, I gave into my anger and hatred of the weak, and changed myself for the better.  (Tattoos do help a little bit too :-)

Just give it time, stop letting people walk on you, even if you get beat up, at least you can get a few good punches in before going down.  Maybe take a martial arts class.  Something REAL, not sport based.  So you get the self esteem AND learn how to break people's arms -- Just incase ;-)

  3. Simple my dear friend, no God's in this world had died for you, and rose up from death to prove himself as God, Its only Jesus the Christ did it, if he had not done it, we would be lairs and he not God, but He rose to prove that he is the living God who help all the people in this world who believe for more and he helps people who do not believe in him because he created them in his own image.

  4. Calm down, young one!  Not everything that happens is a Sign (in fact very few of them are).  It could be their way to telling you to keep your mind sharp (no pun intended) and be aware of your surroundings.

Seriously, don't sweat it right now and don't look for signs, you'll drive yourself nuts.  Take it slow and keep learning!

    Welcome to the family, btw!

  5. Not everything that happens is a sign and even if the stepping on the scissors thing was a sign it was probably more a "don't be stupid, you think too much" rather than a "we don't like you".

If you want to develop a relationship with the Gods, start with offerings.  Do research into the deities you have chosen to find out what They may like.  And talk to Them, pray.  They like your time and attention more than anything.

  6. Fact: You stepped on some scissors. Nothing else is related to that.

Sounds like you have indications of lacking self love. Self love is a journey within itself, and we all must take it.

First you must develop a belief system that creates loving deities who will treat you only with love.

When I read the Tarot, I always look at the positive, as it has an impact on where it takes me and this I have learned over years and experience. You can pick up on it rather quickly though, if you determine yourself to adapt to a positive belief system.

  7. I really hope this is a trolling questions.......but if it's not, then trust me. You'll know. They aren't quiet about anything they think.

Ok so you stepped on scissors. What does that have to do with the gods?

  8. IMHO, the gods don't relate to us in the same way humans relate to each other.  They don't "love" us.  They may work with us, we may have a connection with them, but they aren't going to do everything in their power to protect us as we generally do to protect humans we love.

Accidents happen.  Most likely that's all the scissors were.  Every accident is not divine disfavor.  Pagans suffer misfortune as much as everyone else.

Yes, it was karma.  Karma is the consequences of actions.  In this case, it was the consequence of someone leaving scissors on the floor.

Getting "closer to the gods" isn't something you do overnight.  It's a relationship you forge with them through a vareity of means.  We can't hand you a list of steps to take.  And if that doesn't mean anything to you, I'm not sure why you're describing yourself as a pagan to begin with.  It sounds more like you're learning about paganism than following it...which is fine as we all started from nothing, and the gods understand that.

  9. If you like yourself, you are a likeable person and your gods like you.

  10. They high-five you.  That is a sure sign.
