Experimental procedure text type question?

Hi. I have been assigned to write an experimental procedure with the following titles:

- Aim

- Hypothesis

- Equipment List

- Risk Assessment

- Method

- Results

- Conclusion/Discussion

- Evaluation

However, in the outcomes assessed, we are expected to state the independent variable, dependent variable and Controlled variables.

My question now is: How should I write this information using the format above? Should I create new headings (although I dont think this is recommended)? Should I incorporate this information in the method? How do I incorporate it?

Thanks.

  1. So, not technically titles, but headings of each section of your experiment write-up.  Similar format for a formal paper (like one would submit for publication).

Do not create new headings.  It's not necessary.  Use the method section to describe your experiment and what the variables are.

You will discuss the variables again in your conclusion/discussion.

    Hope that helps.
