Question:

Experimental wifi antenna

I'm thinking of redoing my dish which already has a biquad antenna. I want to construct 2 biquads and tie them to a wrt54gs router on the dish. So far, everything works flawlessly but I would like to mount the 2 biquads on a single reflector. How far should I keep them apart?

  1. You can use one double biquad 13dbi. I believe that it would decide the problem!

  2. 1 wave apart.

why not just use a 40 element yagi. yes, it would be longer than a dish and you 2 element quad, but it would have lower wind load and a whole lot more gain..

you need  to overcome feed line losses so you need all the gain you can get.
