Experts believe Tony La Russa’s presence in Tigers Spring Training will enhance winning chances
Currently the media is swirling with all sorts of speculation and conversations as to what impact Tony La Russa’s presence in the Detroit Tigers’ upcoming Spring Training will have. The American League is looking at this late development as another reason to fear the Tigers extraordinary line-up.
From experts to average baseball analysts, everybody has their say on this very matter. They are not only talking about La Russa but these experts are also talking about the Tigers’ winning chances next season.
Earlier, it was confirmed that former St. Louis Cardinals’ manager Tony La Russa is planning to make a return as Tigers’ assistant manager but without a Detroit uniform and instead as just a friend of Jim Leyland, Detroit's current manager.
Leyland was also the first man to confirm that La Russa is coming only for Spring Training. "Tony's going to be down for a couple weeks," Leyland told reporters. "He's going to work with Dave in the front office, and he's going over to Jupiter (where the Cardinals train) for a few days and then go out to Arizona for a few days. He will not be in uniform."
As soon as this news hit the local media, baseball pundits, experts and some former players, started their conversation as to what extent the Tigers’ franchise will be benefiting from La Russa’s presence. Some said this is good news for the Tigers’ junior players and some expressed that this will generate some serious competitiveness in the Tigers’ roster and will help them to win the World Series next season.
While some experts also explained as to why the Tigers’ roster and management should put together their energy to forget last year’s disappointing performance under La Russa’s guidance and eventually this energy will be helping them generate a good strategic approach that will enhance their winning chances next season.
La Russa is an experienced Major League individual as a former player and a successful manager. Last year he was enormously involved in the St. Louis Cardinals World Series winning run and now certainly will help the Tigers to establish a killer strategy for outdoing every top opponent.
