Experts suggest Seattle to be next National Hockey League Hotspot -NHL Update
Believe it or not, but many expert are terming the city of Seattle to be the next big hotspot for the National Hockey League (NHL) as an investor in the city has all the investment and land ready to make it a place where the fourth largest sport in the United
States will be able to thrive and spread its arms and legs.
Chris Hansen is the man that is planning on not only bringing the NHL to his city but also an NBA team back after it was moved citing financial mishaps and relates issues, making it impossible to keep the club running.
Don Levin, owner of an American Hockey League (AHL) league team in Chicago, was talking to the Seattle Times and described the city to be the biggest market that would be able to support an NHL team.
“It’s probably the best market in the United States that does not have a hockey team demographically,” Levin told The Times. “I imagine there’d be thousands of Canadians that would come to every game because they can’t get into the building in Vancouver
because it’s sold out and it’s such a good team.
“Easy to get in and get out,” Levin added. “I think the city [Bellevue] has a good base of restaurants and hotels, so the teams could stay there and the fans could stay there. You’d be bringing in a lot of people to spend a lot of money.”
There are a number of teams in the NHL that are setting records in terms of doing business, like the Vancouver Canucks. Experts believe that a team in the city of Seattle would also be able to do the same if given a chance and with enough finances to get
it running, the possibilities are endless.
Fans could very easily be getting a team soon enough and for those that have been deprived in the city of Seattle up until now, they might just be having their prayers answered as the time gets closer for the NHL to spread itself even further and explore
markets full of business potential.
