Expired US resident card

hello,

due to homelessness and financial troubles, i have not renewed my US resident card for about a year.

i have relatives in canada to stay for a while and my car is all i have.

can i still have in and out priviledges at the US/Canadian borders?

  1. You might be denied at both countries, more to US but still possible in Canada.  


  2. You can not re-enter with an expired resident card. They'll ask you to renew your card before entering the US. Before they would give you a fine before letting you re-enter, I'm not sure if that's still the case. Either way if you don't have the money to renew your card, you sure don't have it to pay any fine they may impose at the border.

  3. Good luck you! Get a Job, you can!!!! you have a legal status in the US, find a job and save money for the Green card renewal. I-90 application Then your payment is the base application fee is $290 plus the biometrics fee of $80.  Total filing fee = $370. You can do it!

    You dont need a lawyer to do this, do it yourself.
