Expired car plate?

My car has a expired plate, but i forgot to get it done. i got pulled over on thursday, i had to work this whole weekened, and i planned to go tomorrow to get it renewed. Well i have to pick up my kids from my moms today, and i drove the car because it had their car seats, guess what i got pulled over, i told the policer the story, and he still gave me another notice (fee). Can i fought it in court or not? Is this a fee or what. thanks

Because you get a ticket the first time doesn't mean you can keep driving and be absolved of future stops.  You'll keep getting them and have to keep paying them til your plates are valid.  Park the car til you get the plates renewed !

You will spend more time fighting the tickets then they are worth.   You learned your lesson hopefully.  Get your registration renewed ASAP, and all will be ok.
