Expired car licience?

i posted my papers to DVLA for my new licience as it had expired as i am 45and waiting for them to be returned. am i still legal to drive

i would still drive if nescessary, but technically it IS illegal to drive with an expired liscense.  If you go to the DMV they will renew it and give you a temporary liscense.

No, and if you are stopped you will receive a driving citation for driving for an expired license.

in my state if you have a license expired and renewal is in the works you have a  so called grace period of i believe 30 days

after that you really should take trip to  registry and in person get at least a temporary renewed license
