Expired contact solution-can it still be used without causing problems?

I have opti-free replenish and they expired 4 months ago. Is it still ok to use it or should I throw it in the trash? Also how often are we suppose to change the contact lense case. I've been using it for a year now but I heard you have to change it every 3 months. What's the deal? Thanks!

  1. No because the chemicals break down & could be bad for your eyes

  2. As long as you wash the case and let it air dry it should be okay for awhile.  I usually switch mine every 6 months to a year.  As for the solution I would probably just throw it out and get new stuff.
