Expired food at my work?

I work at Zellers in Ontario Canada, and they will not take the expired milk and yogurt out of the fridge! its been expired since the end of May, i've told my manager that and he does not seem to care, also in the foods section there is expired juice from Feb of this year. What can I do about this?

As long as they don't put it out for sale , why do anything?

They may be waiting to see if they can get credit for it.

I don't know all the details but I do manage  a fine gourmet market( for many years) and that's what we do.

If there is expired food out for sale, it has to be pulled or the store can get a huge fine( and in some cases closed down).

If the manager doesn't listen to that you should go to a higher source.

But a caution here.

Alot of managers and supervisors are friends and it could cost you your job.

If it does, then report them to the FDA ( if your in the US)

or whatever food authority in your country.

( make sure you buy a few and get the receipt( with the proof of date purchased) if they do fire you).

Proof of the wrong doing.
