  1. In addition to what others have said, sometimes travel agents are invited onboard for a ship inspection while in port. That's when they get a first hand look and gain knowledge of any refurbishments and changes that may have been made. They are always escorted and may stay onboard for lunch.

    The phrase "cruise visitor" sometimes refers to people visiting a port from a cruise ship.  So as part of its tourism statistics Jamaica tracks the number of cruise visitors.

  3. Are you speaking, of having a guest of your own on the ship?  The only nonpaying guest allowed are those in the home port attending a wedding.

  4. If you are asking about friends or relatives coming onboard the ship to see you off, or visit you, that is not done anymore because of security. The only peoples allowed on board are the ones with a ticket or the staff. I hope this answers your question
