  1. Since each x-value has one and only one corresponding y-value, the set of co-ordinates given form a FUNCTION.

    Note - Although a y-value (3) appears twice, the relationship is still a function because it is the the mapping from x to y NOT from y to x which dictates whether a set of points represent a function.


  2.   Relationship is y= x+1, because the second coordinate is one more the first coordinate.
