  1. Sure, it's intuitive.    the denser your product, the more compact it is and the more seasoning you need to engage the palette.   Conversely, if you have a less dense product, let's say popcorn, it is more air than corn so it's easy to overpower with too much seasoning as opposed to a thick potato chip.


  2. ~*~ The denser an item is, the more of that component there is to have to season.  A dense steak would require more seasoning than a Soufflé of the same volume.
