Two main types of communication...verbal and body language...the mouth may be saying one thing and ones body language may be saying something else, leaving the partner in the communication doubting.

Each form of communication could be considered a "package of signals". For example, in verbal communication, not only do the spoken words tell you what is going on, but tone does as well. "Hello", and mean many things, but it is the tone that defines what it actually means. Enunciation can define the emotion even more, if the person is stuttering, then chances are they are nervous. Body language is the same. A person may be standing up-right, and look confident, but if you look at their eyes, and they are dashing around, and avoiding eye contact, then that person is nervous.

That happens in e-communication. For example, if you send an email through the net, if doesn't come at you intermittently. The email is sent as a package of digital data and placed at your inbox.
