  1. leaders set the objectives and the manager works for the accomplishment of these objectives.

    you can develop good managerial skills but you can't develop leadership abilities, they are by birth....

Some people can be very good workers, show a lot of initiative and do things that others wouldn't think of.  Thus - being a leader.  However, some of these same people do not have the people-skills it takes to manage others in daily tasks or projects.  Managers are more motivaters than leaders can be.

  4. The can be motivational, good at giving orders and diplomatic with people but not good at managing situations or day to day targets.

  5. A leader could be a team leader with his own responsibilities and report to the manager. Happens all the time. They just give some sound advise
