  2. An infectious disease is a clinically evident disease resulting from the presence of pathogenic microbial agents, including viruses, bacteria, fungi, protozoa, multicelluar parasite's, and aberrant protein's knowen as prions. These diseases are able to effects animals and plants as well.

Immunizations =this can be active or passive. Active immunizations is termed vaccination and elicits a response from the body that provides protective immunity. It's long lasting. Passive immunizations is in practice the injection of antibodies to produce short term protection.

Currently available vaccines are either live,(attenuated) killed, Fractionated or Recombinant.

Vaccinations is intented to provide long term protection after it's administration. Effector T-and B cells last only for a few days, so the prime reqisite of any vaccine is to generate immunological memory.

Successful vaccines============ Whole organism vaccines tend to have these abilities.
