Technology gives us a better tool to observe.  Computers can run algorithems in minutes what used to take months.  By using change detection, we (computers) can find black holes by looking for shifting galaxies or stars that move when they shouldn't.

Higher resolution spectrum anylizers can determine the doppler shift of moving systems.

oh well... of course technology helps astronauts in their lives... it makes their work better, easier, more accurate and faster... like the advancement of computers... it helped astronauts calculate faster, and precisely. they can also recreate scenarios accurately and helps them in their navigation. technology also helped astronauts reach farther. they can observe heavenly bodies more clearly. thus technology helps astronauts discover more... think of other technologies that helps astronauts...
