Explain how this happened?

The other night I went to bed and forgot to remove my earrings, I do this often. Next morning I took a shower with both earrings still in my ears, I do this often. Got out of the shower with both earrings still in my ears, wrapped a towel around my wet hair. Then I did my usual routine - dress, make up and hair. I was getting ready to run some errands, went into the bedroom to get my purse and spotted my earring on the floor. Checked my earlobes, and yes, one earring was missing. The earring on the floor was the match to the other, which was still in my ear, but the earring still had the back on it. I have had many earrings fall out, but I find the post in one place and the back in another. This time both were in place, together - connected, the back was on the post. Now I know that I have an intelligent dog, but she's not that good! We have had some "unique" things happen before, but this was really odd. Any thoughts?

  1. Sometimes the metal in the earrings have a magnetizing effect..could be that they came back together on the ground, or in midair more likely, but how tight was the earback on the earring?  For the magnetizing effect to be correct, they would have to be on just a bit; not too tight unless they are a loose fit (which is a possibility considering they fell off in the first place!

  2. very interesting. I had a similar incident where I put in both earrings and looked in the mirror and saw them both in my ears and went to work. Later that day I reached up and felt my earrings and one was gone. I was very disappointed because they were some of my favorites and I thought I had lost one. When I went home, I went to put my one earring that was left on my earring tree hoping that the other would turn up and there was the lost earring on the stand like I had never put it on, but I'm sure I saw them both in my ears when I looked in the mirror that morning. weird

after that happened I came across this website.

  3. i think your earlobe might have ripped causing it to fall out or you were drunk

  4. The greatest physicists of our time say that this kind of  thing should be happening all the time. They don't know why matter stays where it is, they a few ideas, but they are just a good guess.  So the next time you set something on the table and you look back and it's on the floor you may have just experienced a little chaos theory first hand.

  5. What if you fell asleep in the middle of taking your earrings off?

  6. In my opinion, it is most likely that while sleepy the night before you actually took out one earring and didn't take out the other and you don't remember. When you got up in the morning, the earring dropped from the bed covers to the floor and you took your shower. When you got out of the shower, you discovered the earring in the one ear and the one on the floor.

  7. The earing is small for the hole in your ear and it worked it's way through... no joke.. I've seen this happen before!

  8. did you drink the night before

  9. You have entered a place in time and space where few have tread before. It is a new dimension in time and space. You will experience a clarity unknown to mere mortals. The universe will be at your disposal and your destiny will soon be known......in the Twilight Zone.

  10. What I get is, it was a message to you, to "do something," in particular, perhaps change your patten of behavior for the next day.

  11. The only things I can think of is, you took it out in your sleep (people can do weird stuff in thier sleep sometimes), or the hole has widened enough that the back can wiggle through.

I know you posted this under paranormal, but I can't even think of a hypothetical paranormal explaination.

  12. Do you have another pairs that are alike?Maybe you lost one and don't remember.Or a friends earring identical looking. Then, mistakenly thought it was the one that was in your ear, which is still lost.Thats all I can come up with, otherwise, could be paranormal activity,a ghost?
