  1. photosynthesis is started when light is absorbed by pigments in thylakoid membranes of chloroplasts.the light is passed to PS1 and PS2 by flow of electrons where H2O=>2H + 0.5O2 +2e this produces a chemical gradient of H+ which is essential for ATP synthesis. PS1 has reduced NADP+ for reduction of CO2 and PS2 oxidizes H2O.Then the produced CO2 is entered into Calvin cycle where it produces Glucose by help of Rubisco enzyme.the reaction is

    6CO2+30ATP+12NADPH+12H2O=>C6H12O6+30AD...  +12H+

  2. be more specific, seriously

    i took a full semester course just on this topic and barely broke the surface and you want an explanation in a paragraph or two?

    ask a real question and you'll get a definite answer

  3. water + carbon dioxide + light energy -> sugar + oxygen

    how plants produce food for themselves.

  4. Photosynthesis is an important biochemical process in which plants, algae, and some bacteria harness the energy of sunlight to produce food. Ultimately, nearly all living things depend on energy produced from photosynthesis for their nourishment, making it vital to life on Earth. It is also responsible for producing the oxygen that makes up a large portion of the Earth's atmosphere. Organisms that produce energy through photosynthesis are called photoautotrophs.
