Does this mean the toga is an everlasting garment?

  1. Arms = weapons

    Toga = What the Romans normally wore.

    before = in front of, as in "you stand here before this court, accused of ..."

    The guy saying this is a Roman who's giving a boasting speech: The barbarians will surrender to Rome just because the Romans showed up.
