People like my parents who are nearly 70 grew up with Rock around the Clock. They cant see how one can appreciate music that makes no sense. You can not sing along to. Or dance to.They like "good time music" that they could "cut a rug" to. Also it did not have to be played loudly. From the 50's came MY era & they just about lost control! DOPE? Who sings about drugs & thinks thats funny? I believe it was rebellion- against Larwence Welk. Thats why. I love to see my parents dance to Fats Domino tho. It makes me so happy. Those two crack me up!!!

Elvis rocked the 50's with lots of controversy.

in the 60's young people started feeling their oats.

the 70's womens lib and free love, started promiscuity.

the 80's was all about hard rock lots of make up and big hair and rebellion.

the 90's people stated their individuality.
