  1. When the child is in elementary and middle school, the parents tend to set the moral compass.

In high school and later, peers tend to set the trend toward specific moral behavior.

  2. I personally believe moral behavior is taught by instruction from parents. A child is a great moral responsibility to parents. With whom the parents choose to be friends with in the early beginnings of this child's life is also a factor. "The saying Monkey see Monkey do", is very true with our children.  Regardless of who parents would like to blame the bucks stops with each of them when it comes to their child's moral behavior.  There are many things a child must be taught they can not do, until they're certain ages.  Adults do have privileges children don't and shouldn't have.  This is where their teaching from the knee has taught them not to question authority at home, Church or school.  So, the factors would be consistent in home teaching with direction, loving and care for a child's welfare.  These children are the ones who never grow up too fast and become good students in school.  Todays society is too busy to sit down at dinner with their children in the evening and listen to them, let alone guide and direct their morals and spiritual values.  These will carry them through life....not all the clothes, toys, games, etc they say they want......and this only to name a few of the things money is thrown away on.  Time is one of the "best buy for the $".

    My opinion only with blessings<><:)
