  1. 0-2 to develop motor skills.

    3-5 to develop good habits.

    6-12 to prevent obesity.

We don't need any other explanations

  2. 0-2 years children have their own excersizes. I think it is sufficient to let them move , kick and roll as they wish, exerting their tiny muscles in an artificial way might damage their growth. Only a pedetrician would give a right advice for the type of exercise depending on the physic the child has.

3-5 years. they should be allowed to run barefeet. of course, in the garden our outside tthey should wear very soft shoes to protect their soft skin against germs and cuts.

6-12 years. Should be playing actively in various types of games

Exercise stimulates muscles and makes the blood travel faster, which is good for health. Overexercise can harm the muscles or tamper growth of certain parts, while overgrowth may result in other parts. So be careful with exercise for children

  3. to get the demons out of them

  4. Why do you need to explain anything to them.  Just start from the beginning exercising with them and it will become natural to them.

  5. Children 0-2 need to exercise to develop motor skills. An infant will excercise by looking around an kicking arms and legs. Soon this will develop to crawling. As the infant kicks the muscles grow stronger and they learn how to make more define grabs and kicks.

A child 12-24 months is always  on the go, being crawling or traveling along furniture. They get this strength from the time of infancy. They have learned more muscle control and defined movements.

A child 2-3 years is learning his world. He has defined movements and loves to run. A child this age will do more excercsies on his own. They will learn how to jump and climb.

They move in many ways and will do things impulsivly.

A child 3-5 years needs to exercise for many reasons. They have muscles that need to be defined and are still learning how to use their gross motor skills.

A child 6-12 years need to excersie now more than ever before. The generation is growing up on computers and video games. Outside play is almost a thing of the past. We need these children to get out and move so they can burn off the extra calories they consum during the day. They are also coming to the stage where they need extra bone and soft muscle (muscle not made from strength training). They need to know about sports and compition. They may not always be the best. It is how they play. Sports and team work build character and compition. It also lets their heart and lungs work in ways that are much needed.

  6. 0-2 years. A young child should develop their small motor skills as an infant and then begin to walk as they get into the toddler stage. At the age of two years a child should already be walking and this is allowing their bones to develop strongly and healthily. A child from 3-5 years is that also , but extended. a child at such a small age will be learning to not be lazy for the future and also develop muscle and be able to run. As for children from 6-12, a child should not be lazy or they will be fat or obese. Excersizing is going to make their metabolisms speed up , and their imune system be in tact for their whole life. 7. Tell the children exercise is important for them to be able to play without getting tired.  It also helps prevent illness and makes you feel good!

Explain obesity with older children and the illnessses like diabetes and heart disease that are associated with it.  Persuade them to take thirty minutes out of everyday to exercise and stay out from in front of the TV or computer!

Children should exercise everyday.  Exercises can include bicycle riding, skating, running, swimming.  Warm up exercises also help.  This can be toe touching, jumping, standing on one leg for balance and so on.

  8. You don't need to explain this to the 0-2 crowd - you need to do it WITH them!!

    3-5 - I like the demon idea!!!

6-12 - now you can get as technical as the child will allow,!!!

But show each age group by example!!!!

  9. All children need excercise period.............This will allow their bodies to adjust better when there metabolism slows down as they get older.

  10. 0-2 I'd tel the kids we do our excersises to keep us strong (in my 'strong' voice) and healthy

3-5 We excersise to keep our bodies healthy. we feel our heartbeat after a workout. Is our heart getting stronger? did we build strong muscles? now we need water to refuel.

6-12 More in-depth discussions about disease and obesity.
