  1. This what Roxane says when she realizes that she had actually been loving Cyrano the entire time. This is proven earlier in the story because she tells Christian that she would love the man who wrote the poems regardless of what he looked like. This shows that she actually loved the message in the poems, not Christian's beauty.

    This line shows that Roxane realizes that she loved Cyrano, and thought she lost him when she lost Christian. Now, it really is Cyrano that she is losing. So, she is losing Cyrano twice.


  2. The line is Roxanne's.  She loses Cyrano once to Christian when she chooses him for his fairness of feature thinking the words are his also not knowing the words he used were being supplied by Cyrano.  She loses him a second time to death
