  1. larger equipment, less profit margins, more intensive  animal confinment

In that time, some crops stayed relativly the same in my area, northern california, like rice for example there have been only minor changes since the 70's on how its grown, but row crops have changed drastically through the years, it started with bigger and bigger implaments, more one pass managment tools, then came the diffrent irrigation methods and thats going into more people going into drip irrigation. So there has been a continual chage, basically being able to do things cheaper, faster, better and with less labor. I feel the biggest change in agriculture in the last 30+ years are the seeds and the chemicals, the advancment of seed genetics and selective chemicals is amazing., Hope this helped answer your question
