  1. Ok, here's most of them. First and foremost was the war. The russian people didn't want to be involved in WW1. The Tsar was related to the queen of england, and that was where their allience came from, and when the sarajevo assasination happened, Russia was dragged into war. Next, and its far away, but still important, are the ideas of Marx. his communist manifesto was read and studied by the bolsheviks, and they thought that Communism would benefit them much more than imperialism. Then, the Romanovs themselves. They were inept leaders, unable to provide for their people, in a land where a vast majority were still serfs and peasants. Then there is Rasputin, who was a holy man who "healed" the prince's hemophilia. The queen became emphatuated with him, and this led the people of russia to believe in grand corruption in their system. then there is Lenin, who rose to be a leader "for the people", and had the influence to change the government. In 1917, when the revolution finally did happen, the Romanovs were trapped inside their mansion, and were executed later on. Phew, thats a long answer.
