  1. Thermosphere reaches to 600km(from 80 km) above sea level. It contains a region called ionosphere, where atoms and molecules become electrically charged(ionised) by solar radiation, which generates heat.Temperature rises dramatically reaching about 1700 degree celcius on the outer edge of the thermosphere.

Thus, temperature increases with height in  the thermosphere.

  2. In the thermosphere, temperature increases with height. That is due to the absorption of ultraviolet, x-ray, and other high energy radiation. It emits tremendous amounts of thermal infrared radiation.
