Explain this quote...?

Question

"The rhythm of the heart beats in time with the waves."

It's driving me nuts because I kinda understand it, but mostly I don't. So any ideas would be appreciated! Thanks. :)

For me personally, the waves move at a pace so tremendous, it's like an incredible force.. fast, in yet, some what smooth and relaxing.. a does the heart of a person who has fallen in love, with love being an incredible force that is just a wonder on it's own.
